Presented herein is a comprehensive redesign proposal for the train app (ÖBB) in Austria, which has been specifically tailored to cater to the elder demographic. The main objective of this project was to address issues related to train delays and last-minute platform changes. Notably, considerable attention has been given to the visual aspects, with both icons and text rendered in a larger size, thoughtfully accommodating those with impaired vision. Furthermore, the flexibility to modify the text and icon sizes based on individual preferences has been incorporated into the design. The layouts themselves were meticulously crafted using Figma, a prominent design tool known for its efficiency and precision.
